Coaches Corner: Jennifer Gardner

She has never coached, but she knows her way around the court and field after her athletic career as a basketball point guard, state champ PopWarner cheerleader, softball player and dancer. It's her experience as a fundraising participant that makes her such a valuable sales representative. Meet Jennifer Gardner:

Team names and city/state locations?
In Wilmington, NC, I played Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church Basketball for 15 years, Pop Warner Cheerleader Bengals, Redskins and Steelers for 9 years (state champs my last year), SouthLine Sales Softball for 4 years and Hoggard High School Vikette Pom-Pom/Dance Team for 2 years.

What types of things does your team(s) typically fund raise to cover, e.g. equipment?
We fundraised for equipment, uniforms and camp.

Why do you think DDF is a good fundraising choice for youth sports teams?
There is not really another fundraiser out there that can meet our level of licensed products. There's nothing better than drinking out of my Carolina Tarheel cup or my Red Sox cup every morning. Others share your passion for sports, so share this fundraiser with them!

What fundraising advice can you give other coaches?
Set team goals and individual goals. Push your team as hard at fundraising as you do on the court or field and it will pay off! Not to mention the happy parents that were able to save money!
